Description
(Zea Mays) This heirloom corn can be grown as a microgreen or for your home/garden grown popcorn. To grow as a microgreen, place seeds in your desired growing medium, water daily and grow in a dark place (a closet, a dark room or pantry) harvest at 6″ tall or shorter for a suprisingly sweet corn shoot. Grow it just as you would standard sweet corn. However to grow as popcorn, leave the corn cobs on the stock until the corn is fully mature (husks turn brown). Then harvest and allow the ears to dry further. When the kernels easily rub off the cob they are ready to store for seed for next season or pop in your popper or stove stop. 12-18 days maturity for microgreens. 95-110 days to maturity.
